The best newsletter idea
The newsletter idea is to build a list of people who have expressed interest in what you sell. They bought from you and will buy from you again, because they liked your site, their site, and their experiences on it.
They’re on your list because they like what you’ve said and found on your site, and they believe it will be helpful to them. You have a list of excited buyers.
You may have heard that it takes 2 to 3 times sales volume before people become responsive. I believe this, but you may be surprised.
Have you ever sent out a “list” email?
Have you ever sent out a “list” email? I don’t mean they added you to their address book, they signed up for your newsletter, they signed up for your group or personal program, they downloaded an ebook, or bought an item. These are all forms of list building. People are subscribing to you because they like what you’ve said and believe it’ll help them. They like what they’ve purchased and bought before, and if it’s really good, they want to buy again.
It might take 3 to 5 emails to get them buying again. But if you get them involved from the beginning, it takes very little. That’s why your “From” line should be your name. It should be your name and your signature. Don’t use the name of your product or service. Use your name, your signature, and your product’s name or service’s name. A big giveaway is that if you have a signature that reads “Hello,” people will be more likely to sign up because they know it’s your name. You can even have your best friend say it, “Hi, how are you?” People love this. If it’s really good, then people want to open and read it. They can learn a lot from this. Once they sign up, it’s like you’ve taken them to lunch. This is the easiest way to get people to know what you’re about.
Build a list
If you’re going to build a list of a lot of people who are enthusiastic about what you’re offering, this is the way to do it. It’s a little known fact that if you have a very good email marketing system and you send them information, say, a couple times a week, they’ll open your emails every time. And they’ll read them. They’re going to learn about this and find out about that. You have to make them open and read the email. It’s a free country. They’ll probably click through to your website and like what you’re doing. They’re going to say to themselves, “Wow, I’ve learned something new about this website today.”
They’re going to sign up for your newsletter. They’ll probably tell friends about what you’re doing. They’re not going to unsubscribe from you. It’s a good email marketing system. Make sure you can get away with that, because it’s free information. It’s going to be difficult to send them and make them think it’s from you. Make sure you’ve got a good signature.
